The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) invites you to attend an in-person public meeting to learn about potential long-term improvements at the I-44/U.S. 50 interchange and U.S. 50/Route AT intersection. This project aims to increase safety and reliability while improving roadway. The in-person public meeting will be held Thursday, Nov. 6, from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at the Union Community Center, 1329 Union Avenue, in Union.
In June 2025, MoDOT asked the community to provide feedback through an online survey about the I-44/U.S. 50 interchange. 777 people shared their thoughts between June 26 and July 10. This feedback helped MoDOT understand what matters most to the community. MoDOT used both engineering data and this community’s input to draft the project goals.
Before the public meeting begins, we will be holding a private briefing session specifically for elected and agency officials. That meeting will be held on the same date and same place from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. We invite you to preview our public meeting materials, ask questions and share your thoughts on our project goals. During the meeting, MoDOT will also provide information about the next steps for the I-44/U.S. 50 interchange improvements.
Materials will be available online beginning Nov. 6. For more information, visit our project website at https://www.modot.org/publicmeeting2.
