Tai chi for Arthritis for Fall Prevention classes are coming to Gerald this spring.
This class is an exercise program recommended by the CDC to benefit overall well-being. It is especially beneficial fo those with joint pain, mobility limitations, risk of falling and for those who wish to improve their physical and mental health.
The program meets twice a week for eight weeks. Classes will meet each Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 1 to 2 p.m. at Legion Hall, 430 W. Fitzgerald.
Practicing Tai Chi can help:
• improve health of the body and mind through movement and mindfulness
• reduce pain associated with disease and arthritis
• improve mobility and prevent falls
Tai Chi for Arthritis for Fall Prevention is ideal for adults with or without arthritis, rheumatic diseases or related muskuloskeletal conditions
Tai Chi is appropriate for people with mild, moderate and severe joint and back pain and for adults without arthritis who have a higher risk of falling.
