ROSEBUD — A 19-year-old Rosebud man suffered moderate injuries June 17 as he attempted to turn onto U.S. 50 from Route T when he pulled into the path of a 1997 Kenworth D9.
The driver of the eastbound Kenworth, a 50-year-old Randolph, Ala., man, was unable to avoid striking the northbound Rosebud teen’s 2006 Chevrolet PT Cruiser and struck it in its side. The incident took place at 12:32 p.m. this past Wednesday and had traffic backed up for an extended period.
The teen was transported by Gerald Area Ambulance District personnel to Mercy Washington for treatment, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report by Trooper A.J. O’Brien. Both drivers were wearing seat belts during the crash. The truck was driven from the scene and the PT Cruiser was removed by Triple L Towing of Owensville.
