Bernard Stanley Brown Jr., 80, Owensville, passed away Friday, Dec. 19, 2025, at his residence.

He was born March 25, 1945, to the late Bernard Stanley Sr. and Maxine (Korhmann) Brown in Washington.

He was united in marriage to Sharon Elsenraat Aug. 2, 1969, in Hermann.

Stanley was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and VFW Post 6133.

He served his country with the U.S. Army as a communications specialist.

Stanley enjoyed bowling, going on his morning walks with his friends and spending time outdoors.

He was very active in his church, the Knights of Columbus and helping with the church cemeteries.

Stanley was preceded in death by parents, Bernard Sr. and Maxine; brothers, David and Brian Brown; and granddaughter, Marissa King.

He is survived by wife, Sharon of their home; children, Rachel Vinson and Jacob Brown and wife Rachel, all of Owensville; siblings, Craig Brown and wife Linda of Lake Wales, Fla. and Marsha Irby of Benton, Ky.; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, Dec. 23, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Fr. Philip Kane officiating. Interment was in Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery with full military honors.
