Caroline Jean McKee “Jeanie” (Heck), Owensville took her last breath Dec. 31, 2025, at the age of 76 years, 11 months and 12 days old.
She was born Jan. 19, 1949, to the late Herbert Victor and Thelma Marget (Elrod) Heck in Belle.
She began elementary school at the age of four at the Dixie School and graduated from Belle High School in 1966.
After graduation, Jeanie worked as a secretary at Johnmeyer Construction until 1968, at which time she was united in marriage to Richard Gale Schweer and moved to Owensville and was blessed with two daughters, Cheryl and Christa.
In 1970, Jeanie began working for HF Kormeier at MFA Insurance and in 1982, she became the agent of MFA (Shelter Insurance Companies) and retired in 2017.
In 1983, Jeanie was united in marriage to Robert (Bob) L. McKee. and welcomed two more children, Teresa and Christopher to the family.
They made their family home in Bern where many memories will be cherished.
Jeanie was active in the Owensville Gun Club for many years.
She was a very independent woman who dedicated her life to her family and the home. Jeanie was always busy either painting indoors or mulching outdoors. She enjoyed spending time at Bogey’s Sports Bar where she had lunch quite often.
Jeanie put others before herself time and time again; even prior to her last breath she was more concerned about her children, grandchildren, great-grandson, other family members and close friends.
She was preceded in death by loving husband, Bob; parents, Herbert and Thelma; and sisters, Juanita Butler and Darlene Heck.
Jeanie is survived by children, Cheryl L. Stubblefield and husband Bryan, Christa L. Harmon and husband Jason and Teresa and Christopher McKee; grandchildren, Shayla Harmon, Willie Stubblefield, Logan Pohlmann and friend Jace Mason, Dylan Harmon and friend Emma Weirich, Devyn Harmon and friend Mady Stahl and Parker and Connor McKee and great-grandson, Reese Cates.
At Jeanie’s request, there will be no visitation and no service.
