Doris Marie Jenkins, 95, Owensville, passed away Saturday, Nov. 8, 2025, at her residence in Owensville.
She was born April 1, 1930, to the late Leslie and Melva Marie (Rehmert) Howard in Owensville.
She was united in marriage to Edward Ralph “Red” Jenkins Sept. 11, 1948, in Hermann.
Doris worked as the bookkeeper of Jenkins Excavating for over 40 years.
She was a member of VFW 6133 Post Ladies Auxiliary and the order of Eastern Star 598, and a member of the First Baptist Church of Owensville.
Doris was preceded in death by parents, Leslie and Melva; son, Dennis Jenkins; daughter, Janie Wiegers; son-in-law, Mark Wiegers; daughter-in-law, Becky Jenkins; siblings, Delmar, Donald, David, Mildred and Daniel Howard; and brother-in-law, Ronald Hinson.
She is survived by son, Carl Jenkins of Owensville; brother, James “Jim” Howard and wife Sharon of Owensville; sister, Laura Hinson of Owensville; daughter-in-law, Nancy Jenkins of Owensville; sisters-in-law, Madgeline Howard of Owensville and Rose Mary Howard of Cuba; nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., (today) Wednesday, Nov. 12, at Gottenstroeter Chapel in Owensville with Rev. Kevin Sullivan officiating.
Interment was in Countryside Memorial Gardens in Owensville.
