Glenna Mae Steelman (Halbrook, Romine), 91, of Poplar Bluff, formerly of Salem, passed away Thursday, Dec. 18, 2025, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
She was born, Feb. 15, 1934, to the late Reamy and Erma (Kell) Steelman.
She graduated from high school and enrolled in college, but after her freshman year decided to enter the workforce.
Glenna was preceded in death by parents, Reamy and Erma; son, Richard “Ricky” Halbrook; brothers, Stanley, Gurnell and Dorman Steelman; and sister, Dorella Beckett.
She is survived by children, Dwayne Halbrook and wife Darla of Atlanta, Ga., Kenneth Halbrook of Kokomo, Ind. and Frankie Romine and wife Tilsa of Poplar Bluff; brother, Larry Steelman and wife Brenda of Fenton; sisters, Thorlene Lough of O’Fallon, Loretta DeWitt of Willow Springs, Deloris Petty of St. Louis and Helen Elmer and husband Bill of Nixa;12 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Dec. 23, at the Salem Chapel of the James & Gahr Mortuary. Interment was in Cedar Grove Cemetery in Salem.
