James (Jim) Robert Buchheit, Sr., 92, Hermann, and lifelong resident of New Haven, passed away Dec. 27 at StoneBridge Senior Living in Hermann.
He was born Oct. 7, 1933, son to the late Frank and Anna “Mae” Buchheit (nee Pecaut) in Perryville.
He was united in marriage to Edna J. Buchheit March 18, 1978.
He was preceded in death by wife, Edna; parents, Frank and Anna; sisters, Virginia Boxdorfer and Jeannie Rodgers; brother, Paul Buchheit; step-daughter, Joanne Tall; son-in-law Joe Obermark lll; and first wife, Nadene Branson.
Jim is survived by sons, Jim Buchheit, Jr and wife Donna and Frank Buchheit and wife Margaret, all of New Haven; daughters, Peggy Obermark of Washington, Kathleen (Kathy) Narup and husband Ed of Union; step-daughter; Linda Tall-Helfrich and husband Tony Marquardt of Union; step-son, Thomas Tall and wife Faye of Beaufort; step-son-in-law, Scott Tall of Ossining, N.Y.; brothers, Don Buchheit and wife Mary Lou and Mike Buchheit and wife Bev, all of Washington and Larrie Buchheit and wife Tammy of Union; brother-in law, Don Rodgers and sister-in-law, Kathy Buchheit, both of New Haven; 18 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
Funeral services were held Jan. 6, at Trinity Lutheran Church in New Haven, with Pastor David Boedecker officiating.
