Louis K. Ahlemeyer, 89, Sedalia, passed away Friday, Dec. 12, 2025.
He was born April 2, 1936, a son to the late Walter and Olga (Froelker) Ahlemeyer in Leslie.
He was united in marriage to Nadine Wildebrandt May 30, 1964, at Boeuff Presbyterian Church in Gerald.
Louis served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy from 1954 to 1958.
He later attended Southwest Missouri State University (now Missouri State University).
In 1963, Louis began a distinguished 50-year career in banking at Citizens Bank of Gerald. He went on to serve as president of banks in Warrenton, Carrollton and Sedalia.
Throughout his life, Louis maintained a deep appreciation for agriculture, farming and cattle, a dream he was able to fully pursue following his retirement from banking.
He was active in civic and professional service, serving on the Federal Home Loan Bank Board, the City of Sedalia Water Board, the Pettis County Economic Development Board and several bank boards. Louis was also a past member of Rotary International, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks in Warrenton.
He was preceded in death by parents, Walter and Olga; siblings and spouses, Walter Ahlemeyer and wife, Marie and Thelma Fogerson and husband, Peter; and nephews, Dale and Steve Greife.
Louis is survived by wife, Nadine; daughter, Jennifer L. Roth and husband David of Manchester; son, Kyle L. Ahlemeyer of St. Peters; grandchildren, Clayton B. and Carli M. Roth, both of Manchester; brother, Milfred Ahlemeyer and wife Marilyn of Kennewick,Wash.; along with nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends and colleagues.
A Celebration of Life service was held Saturday, Dec. 20, at Heckart Funeral Home in Sedalia. Full military honors were conducted by the U. S. Navy and VFW Post No. 2591 following the service.
Interment will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery at a later date.
