Mildred Fae Winkelmann, 92, Hermann, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2025, at StoneBridge Senior Living in Hermann.
She was born July 5, 1933, daughter of the late Orval and Helen (Scholten) Metzler in Rhineland.
She was united in marriage to Walter F. Winkelmann April 25, 1953, at the Church of the Risen Savior in Rhineland.
Fae was a member of the Church of the Risen Savior.
She was preceded in death by husband, Walter; parents, Orval and Helen; brothers, Wendell “Metz” and Gerald “Ferd” Metzler; and sister, Carolyn Metzler.
Fae is survived by sons, Mark Winkelmann and wife Jill and Paul Winkelmann and wife Lynn, all of Rhineland and Ward Winkelmann and wife Donna of St. Charles; daughters, Jeanne Landolt and husband Larry and Laurie Fredrick and husband Doug, all of Hermann and Maribeth Dann and husband Karl of Berger; sister, Melba Bokermann of Kirkwood; brother,Valerian “Mannie” Metzler and wife Vera of Fenton; 14 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Mass was held Dec. 19, at the Church of the Risen Savior in Rhineland, with Father Philip Niekamp officiating.
Interment was in St. Martin’s Cemetery in Starkenburg.
Memorial contributions suggested to Shrine of Our Lady of Sorrow, Starkenburg or St. George School.
