Theodore George Luechtefeld Jr., 82, Owensville, passed away Thursday, Oct. 23, 2025, at Sullivan Meramec Nursing Center.
He was born Nov. 24, 1942, to the late Theodore Sr. and Agnes (Hackman) Luechtefeld in Richton, Miss.
He attended Holy Family Grade School in Port Hudson and graduated from high school at St. Francis Borgia in Washington.
Theodore was united in marriage to Ruth Heck Jan. 25, 1969, in Washington and she passed Dec. 3, 1998. He was then united in marriage to Dorothy Haberberger Nov. 17, 2004 in Washington.
Theodore was an Airman First Class in the U.S. States Air Force from 1962-1968.
He was preceded in death by parents, Theodore Sr. and Agnes; and brothers, Norman, Norbert, Donald, Richard and John Luechtefeld.
Theodore is survived by second wife, Dorothy of their home; children, Tammy Schaumberg and husband James of Foristell and Kevin Luechtefeld of Overland; sisters, Joyce Stewart and husband Don of Gerald and Jayne Glosemeyer and husband Maurice of Marthasville; and one granddaughter.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday, Oct. 27 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Owensville with Fr. Philip Kane officiating. Interment was in St. Francis Borgia Cemetery in Washington.
Memorial contributions suggested to St. Jude’s Children Research or Mass offerings.
